We aren't just looking for interns. We are looking for the next generation of humanitarians, legal advocates, and storytellers. The Refugee Archive Fellowship is a hands-on, immersive incubator designed to give you real-world experience in a global humanitarian setting.

Whether you are tracking policy shifts in emerging democracies or preserving the raw oral histories of displaced single mothers, this fellowship places you at the center of the action.
You will walk away with a published portfolio of real impact, a global network of peers and mentors, and the practical skills necessary to launch a career in international law, public policy, or global communications. You won't be fetching coffee—you will be doing the work.

Three Cohorts Annually
Spring Term
January — May
Kick off the year by driving fresh research initiatives and setting the narrative agenda. Ideal for students looking for part-time engagement alongside coursework.
Summer Term
June — August
Our most intensive, immersive cohort. A fantastic opportunity to dive deep into special projects, policy tracking, and intensive editorial production without academic distractions.
Fall Term
September — December
Focus on synthesis, publication, and annual reporting. Perfect for analytical thinkers and writers looking to cap off the year with published deliverables.

Fellows are placed into dedicated teams based on their background, academic focus, and career aspirations.
Policy & Legal Research
Work directly on the FHH Policy Tracker. You will monitor national legislation, analyze humanitarian frameworks, and document how laws shape the lived reality of displaced women. Ideal for law students, international relations majors, and aspiring policy analysts.
Oral History & Archival
Support our Core Narrative Labs. You will assist in processing firsthand accounts, maintaining archival integrity, and developing content for The Archive Speaks. Ideal for journalism, history, and anthropology students who believe in the power of ethical storytelling.
Communications & Impact
Turn raw data and dense policy into compelling calls to action. You will work on digital strategy, community outreach, and translating research into accessible formats for advocates and funders. Ideal for marketing, communications, and non-profit management students.
